"myGov" PROGRAM

Services Australia, formerly the Department of Human Services, is an executive agency of the Australian Government. It delivers welfare, health insurance, child support, and support services to eligible citizens and residents. The myGov platform, launched in 2013, provides secure online access to government services. With over 1.4 million daily sessions, myGov has seen substantial growth.

 

The Enhanced myGov program was introduced to create a world-class digital experience for Australians. It brought improvements like a scalable and secure platform, intuitive user interface, and the myGov app. Leveraging advanced technologies such as microservices architecture and customer journey analytics, the program enhanced service delivery and data insights.The myGov app offers convenient features including biometric login, a secure digital wallet, and push notifications. It has demonstrated exceptional performance, with site speed under 1 second and high search authority.

 

Services Australia's initiatives have tangible benefits for the public. Australians receive better services, saving time and effort, while taxpayers gain savings for more innovative services. The economy benefits from increased productivity, and higher cybersecurity safeguards citizens' interactions with the government. Independent analysis estimates a net benefit of $3.2 billion over 10 years from the Enhanced myGov program.
