VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION
VHA INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM

Allison Amrhein, Director of the VHA Innovators Network (iNET), leads a team of 40+ colleagues in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) to empower frontline employees and revolutionize healthcare. iNET facilitates local programming, connects employees with resources, and spreads influential programs created by frontline employees across the VA.

To address the challenge of getting frontline employees' products into the hands of Veterans and staff, Allison created the VA Intrapreneurial Product Marketplace (VAIPM). This pipeline allows VA frontline innovators to share their solutions throughout the VA system, improving the care and saving the lives of Veterans. In addition to VAIPM, Allison spearheaded the Greenhouse initiative, which enables collaboration between external innovators and iNET sites. This initiative ensures that the voices of Veterans and VA employees are heard during the development of new products in the private sector.

By empowering frontline employees and fostering collaboration, Allison's initiatives have had a significant impact on the care and satisfaction of Veterans. Over 600+ employees and 2M Veterans have been positively affected by iNET's work, resulting in improved care and higher overall satisfaction rates.Allison's dedication to innovation and her commitment to the well-being of Veterans make her a deserving nominee for this award.
